Office Staff

Matt Allen is the Executive Administrative Assistant at Plaza, directly assisting our Principal and supporting staff however he can.  He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interactive Design and Game Development.  He continues to do freelance creative work and has worked in independent games, banking, non-profit marketing & communications and now education. He has also volunteered with organizations such as KC Pet Project, Operation Breakthrough, Ronald McDonald House, and the Kansas City Center for Inclusion. Matt is responsible for coordinating facilities scheduling, building purchases, mass communications, and a variety of other tasks.  He also serves as the Intramural Director and he organizes our Summer Connections Program. He is a good general contact for questions and will help you get in touch with whomever you might need to speak with. (Je parle français! ¡Estoy aprendiendo español! 日本語を勉強しています！)

Brandon Palmer is our Registrar and Assistant to the Assistant Principal, working to make sure our students are enrolled correctly and supporting our administrators. A Kansas City, Missouri native and a lifelong member of the Park Hill community, he graduated from Park Hill South in 2013. Brandon also started working for the Park Hill School District while still enrolled as a student in 2013 spending his first four years in the district working in as a Site Manager for Adventure Club, spent four years as a Teacher Assistant at Chinn Elementary, and another two years at Plaza as our Media Assistant before coming into his current role.  Brandon has been a basketball coach here at Plaza and is also an EF Tours Group Leader. In his words, "You can catch me drumming at the talent show for the rest of my life!"

Stephanie Claunch is the Attendance Administrative Assistant, is always on top of making sure Plaza students are accounted for, and looks forward to greeting you by phone or in person at Plaza Middle School.  Stephanie graduated from Emporia State University in 1999 with a degree in sociology. After being a stay-at-home mom for 12 years she started working part time at Union Chapel Elementary before coming to Plaza. Stephanie has been working in the district since 2013 and started a Plaza the summer of 2018. Please contact Stephanie with any questions regarding student attendance.
