Matt Allen is the Executive Administrative Assistant at Plaza, directly assisting our Principal and supporting staff however he can.  He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interactive Design and Game Development.  He continues to do freelance creative work and has worked in independent games, banking, non-profit marketing & communications and now education. He has also volunteered with organizations such as KC Pet Project, Operation Breakthrough, Ronald McDonald House, and the Kansas City Center for Inclusion. Matt is responsible for coordinating facilities scheduling, building purchases, mass communications, and a variety of other tasks.  He is a good general contact for questions and will help you get in touch with whomever you might need to speak with. Kathy Emerson is our Registrar and Assistant to the Assistant Principal, working to make sure our students are enrolled correctly and supporting our administrators. She is originally from Denver, Colorado and moved to southwest Missouri where she graduated from High School.  She went to William Woods University on a volleyball scholarship.  That brought her to 20 plus years of coaching volleyball for various clubs in southwest Missouri, Kansas City areas, St. Pius X High School, KC, for 5 years and running sand leagues and hockey leagues.  Kathy decided to retire from volleyball and stay at home with her 6 children before coming to the Park Hill School district.  She has worked for the district since 2017.  She decided to continue her volleyball career with holding a volleyball club for elementary students for 3 years in the district.  Also, in addition to her position at Plaza Middle School, she is the assistant volleyball coach.  Kathy looks forward to greeting you each day and giving you a warm Tiger welcome! Stephanie Claunch is the Attendance Administrative Assistant, is always on top of making sure Plaza students are accounted for, and looks forward to greeting you by phone or in person at Plaza Middle School.  Stephanie graduated from Emporia State University in 1999 with a degree in sociology. After being a stay-at-home mom for 12 years she started working part time at Union Chapel Elementary before coming to Plaza. Stephanie has been working in the district since 2013 and started a Plaza the summer of 2018. Please contact Stephanie with any questions regarding student attendance.
