School Resource Officer

Our School Resource Officer (SRO) is Austin Teague, a Deputy Sheriff with the Platte County Sheriff's Office. Deputy Teague spends the majority of his days at Plaza and also shares time with a few of the northern elementary schools in the district. Prior to law enforcement, Austin graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a bachelor's in criminal justice. Deputy Teague has felt a strong calling to law enforcement ever since he was a child. Deputy Teague's goal as both a County Deputy and as a School Resource Officer is to show the community that law enforcement is more than enforcing the laws; it's being involved in the community. In his spare time, Deputy Teague enjoys exploring a wide range of music genres and working out.
