Mrs. Jenny Daniel began at Plaza for the 2019-20 school year, after working at Lakeview Middle School as an Administrator the previous 3 years. This is Mrs. Daniel’s twenty-seventh year as an educator, and she considers herself a true “middle school person”, enjoying the teaming concepts and daily fun of adolescent learners.  Mrs. Daniel obtained her undergraduate degree in the teaching of English and Music from the University of Central Missouri back in the early 90’s.  She later continued her education obtaining her Masters and Educational Specialist degrees from William Woods University in secondary administration in 2002 & 2005.  Mrs. Daniel is married and resides with her husband James in the Park Hill School District.  They have six children and two grandchildren.

Mr. Van Horn

Brian Van Horn started as Assistant Principal at Congress and Plaza Middle Schools this 2020-21 school year. He began his career in K-12 education as an activities director and coach. Van Horn's most recent position was a PE teacher in the Hickman Mills C-1 School District, where he took on acting principal responsibilities when his principal was absent, and he served as district PE department chairperson and building department lead. He earned Hickman Mills “It’s On Me” Award for going above and beyond, and he received multiple building nominations for Teacher of the Year.

Van Horn received his bachelor’s degree from Northwest Missouri State University, his Master’s degree in Athletic Administration from William Woods University and his Master’s degree from Arkansas State University in Special Education Instruction. He received his Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Missouri.
