Student Services

The Student Services Department at Plaza Middle School utilizes a collaborative approach to provide services and support to students, while empowering their families for the greatest level of student academic, social and emotional success.

Plaza Middle School has two full-time School Counselors and one full-time Social Worker. The three of us work as a team to serve all students at Plaza! 

Counseling Team

Mallory Malone came to the Park Hill School District in 2019-2020 school year after teaching and counseling for 12 years within the Kansas City metro area. She earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Missouri Western University, Masters of Science in Family Therapy from Friends University, and Ed. Specialist in Human Services and Professional Counseling from University of Central Missouri. Mrs. Malone is currently pursing her licensure in marriage and family therapy (LMFT).

Bradley Coleman joined the Park Hill School District in 2023-2024 school year after serving as a counselor in the Blue Springs School District for 5 years.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Masters in School Counseling from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.  He is excited for this opportunity to serve the Plaza community!

 

 

 

Social Worker

Ashley Shroyer came to the Park Hill School District in 2018 after 9 years working for non-profit organizations within the Kansas City Metro area. She has experience working in the foster care system, residential facilities, and community mental health. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology/Anthropology from Truman State University, and a Masters in Social Work from The University of Missouri-Kansas City. Mrs. Shroyer has been a Licensed Master Social Worker since 2009, and recently obtained her Clinical Social Work License in 2017. Mrs. Shroyer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Kansas and Missouri.
